Genshin Impact Gadget Update Hinted in Version 3.7

A recent Genshin Impact leak hints at a significant quality-of-life improvement in Version 3.7, making Gadget usage more convenient for players.

Since HoYoverse launched the wildly popular RPG in September 2020, the developer has continually sought to enhance the gameplay experience.

The addition of Artifact re-rolling and its subsequent expansion has allowed players to acquire better Artifacts for their characters more easily. Now, the focus is on streamlining the Gadget-swapping process.

Gadgets: Essential Tools for Players

Gadgets have been a crucial aspect of Genshin Impact’s gameplay from the early stages. These versatile devices offer a wide array of utilities, such as increasing gliding speed, assisting in treasure and Oculi collection, and providing quick access to cooking and food items.

Gadgets also add a fun element to the game, featuring multiple “Kamera” gadgets and playable musical instruments. HoYoverse now aims to simplify switching between different Gadgets for players.

Version 3.7: Introducing the Quick Change Bar

Reliable Genshin Impact leaker HomDGCat has disclosed a new feature slated for the game’s Version 3.7 update—a “Quick Change” bar for Gadgets. This in-game feature allows players to cycle through four Gadget options seamlessly, operating similarly to Genshin Impact’s existing menu systems. Players can quickly swap Gadgets without accessing their inventory and even substitute the quick-access Gadgets with others from their inventory.

Enhancing Gameplay with Gadget Updates

This Gadget system update comes as the devices have increasingly played crucial roles in the game’s storylines and quests. For instance, the Vintage Lyre was central to the Aranara questline for Sumeru and the region’s overworld, activating exploration mechanics with different songs.

Other Gadgets like the “Boon of the Elder Tree” provide useful exploration tools, such as swiftly gathering wood from nearby trees. Genshin Impact players have long requested the ability to quick-swap Gadgets without opening their inventory.

Quick-Swapping Gadgets: A Game-Changer

The quick-swap system for Gadgets is expected to be invaluable when Genshin Impact introduces its next major region, Fontaine. Sumeru already heavily relied on Gadgets for exploration, and Fontaine is anticipated to follow suit upon its release later this year. Fontaine teasers have hinted at underwater mechanics and water-based puzzles in the Hydro Archon’s domain.

What’s more, between Fontaine and Liyue might emerge a new region that was hinted at by leaks from Version 3.8.

With the introduction of quick-swapping Gadgets, Genshin Impact players can look forward to a substantial enhancement by Version 3.7 in their exploration experience.
