A New Face in Genshin Impact: Meet Charlotte

Genshin Impact’s latest livestream event came with an exciting revelation—a new character called Charlotte, officially introduced by the game’s developer, HoYoverse.

These Special Program events, typically held just before a new update, are the platform for unveiling upcoming content.

The Anticipation of a New Major Region

For Genshin Impact enthusiasts, the introduction of a new major nation is always a monumental event. It’s synonymous with an influx of new content, keeping the game fresh and engaging.

With the release of the Hydro-rich Fontaine region imminent, HoYoverse is expected to roll out more characters hailing from this area.

Charlotte: A Fresh Addition from Fontaine

The latest Special Program event lifted the veil on Charlotte—a new character slated for the next update. Charlotte was also featured in a recent leak that suggested ten new Genshin Impact characters for the Fontaine region.

Interestingly, Charlotte’s design takes inspiration from a character in HoYoverse’s second most popular title, Honkai Impact 3rd. Given that her Honkai counterpart is a bow user, it’s possible that Genshin Impact’s Charlotte may also wield a bow.

As for her elemental affiliation—her light blue Vision suggests she could be either a Cryo or an Anemo user.

Expectations and Speculations

For more details on Charlotte, players will likely have to wait for the next update.

Some fans suggest she might play a role similar to that of the Anemo user Kaedehara Kazuha in Inazuma—an instrumental character in transitioning the storyline from the Geo nation of Liyue to the islands of Inazuma.

Kirara: A Unique Dendro User

In addition to Charlotte, the upcoming update will introduce a new Dendro user named Kirara. This unique four-star unit specializes in providing utility and inflicting AoE Dendro damage. Kirara’s Elemental Skill—curling up into a delivery box to traverse Teyvat with increased speed, even scaling walls—is one of the most distinctive in the game.
