Flutter Entertainment, known for its forward-thinking approach, is on the verge of launching a game-changer in the online gaming world: Vegas Infinite. This comes after the acquisition of The Stars Group on May 5, 2020, which brought a shift in the development and management of the game.
Transforming PokerStars VR
As part of the revamp, Vegas Infinite (formerly PokerStars VR) will now comprise multiple casino games. The menu goes beyond poker to include games like blackjack, roulette, craps, and a unique proprietary title, Rocket Rush. This is in addition to continued emphasis on Poker with offerings such as Spin & Go, Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs), and the Metaverse Poker Tour (MPT). This diversification and expansion extends the game to a wider audience and cements its position as a comprehensive virtual reality gaming destination.
James O’Reilly, PokerStars Director of VR & Innovation, reflected on this exciting transition. He said, “As we approach our fifth anniversary, it’s incredible to think how far our game has come. We’ve evolved from an experimental application of virtual reality to poker to becoming an immersive entertainment hub with a full suite of games. We’ve moved beyond just poker and VR.”
Creating a Gamut of Experiences
Vegas Infinite is set to provide an exceptional gaming environment. The layout will offer not just a casino floor, but also rooftop areas overlooking the created cityscape. This immersive experience is expected to captivate the players and provide a unique gaming atmosphere.
In a nod to inclusivity, Flutter plans to release the game on PC, eliminating the need for a headset. This move will make Vegas Infinite accessible to a wider audience.
O’Reilly hints at more surprises in the pipeline: “Vegas Infinite is where we’re taking our players next and there’s lots more in store.”
As Flutter continues to enhance its boardroom, it is also ensuring the best payout for its gamers through its Betsoft software. Flutter Entertainment has also announced a significant rebranding effort, transforming its PokerStars VR into Vegas Infinite. With these changes, it only underscores Flutter’s ongoing commitment to innovation in the gaming industry.
