Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree is Currently in Development

Good news for Elden Ring players who have been eagerly anticipating a DLC announcement – FromSoftware has finally granted their wishes with the announcement of Shadow of the Erdtree, a new expansion currently in development.

Rather than making a big appearance at a recent event like State of Play, the DLC was announced through a simple tweet from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco. But let’s be real, those who’ve been waiting for a year probably don’t care how the announcement is made, as long as it’s made.

As for the details of the expansion, unfortunately, all we know is that it’s currently in development. FromSoftware did share some key art for the Shadow of the Erdtree, but it doesn’t offer much information on what the DLC entails.

While we don’t have a release date or window for the first Elden Ring expansion just yet, at least we know that one is on the way. And for fans of the game, that’s definitely something to look forward to.
