Make time with your friends in the highly-anticipated social networking app, Bondee!
There is no way that you’ve traveled back in time to 2020 when everyone had an Animal Crossing island.
It’s 2023 and the quarantine for the epidemic has been lifted, but the new app Bondee has everyone busy decorating their digital living spaces.
Fortunately, it’s rated 12 so kids and adolescents can expect to have a good time as well!
Bondee: a social networking app
The new social networking software has taken Asia by storm the week after its official release on January 17.
And it’s not going to stop anytime since many seem to be enjoying this new Instagrammable virtual space!
Gameplay
The world of Bondee is your sandbox in terms of customizing your avatar’s physical attributes, mental states (through facial expressions and status updates), interests, and residential spaces.
Users of Bondee can have their avatars engage in a variety of online discussion and recreation activities, including camping, swinging, dancing, sailing, and more.
In real life, your characters can go to each other’s homes and even leave notes.
How did Bondee become popular?
Bondee has risen to the top of the App Store’s Social Networking charts in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand since its launch in January 2023. Bondee is a top app in Japan, however, it hasn’t made the top 10 in South Korea yet.
Moreover, several app users have gushed about the app’s interactive features and customization options on social media. Some even draw comparisons to popular games like Animal Crossing, Habbo Hotel, and Club Penguin.
How to get Bondee
The first step is to download the Bondee app from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
Afterward, you can simply create your account details and password.
A wide variety of facial characteristics, clothing, accessories and even a cat that you may pet are just the beginning of the ways in which you can personalize an avatar to your tastes.
How to play Bondee
The next step is to make some new acquaintances, as there is little you can accomplish without them in Bondee.
You can either look up their usernames or scan their QR codes to find them; the second method seems to work better.
After adding a contact, you will be able to start a conversation with them. Customized emoticons and actions that affect both users in a discussion are available in addition to the standard messaging options.
Among these include lounging on a couch, going to a park for a picnic, going to a nightclub (also known as dancing), and relaxing on a swing.
Activities may include wandering around, standing, sitting on the floor, a beanbag, a rocking chair, reading, heaps of cash, jelly, and the toilet.
There’s also a sailing feature where users may send their avatars out into the virtual world to meet and make friends with other users.
In addition to new equipment and other prizes, you may also find random letters floating in the ocean.
There is a current limit of 50 friends that you can add to Bondee.
How do you design your room in Bondee?
After generating an avatar, you can furnish their personal space with a wide variety of items, such as bookcases, televisions, tables, sofas, potted plants, musical instruments, and more.
You can also personalize the posters in your Bondee room because you can use your own photographs.
Go crazy, but remember that a room has limited square footage and that you should arrange your furniture strategically to make the most of the space you have.
Once you’ve added others to your Bondee network, you’ll be able to view your shared living space and theirs laid out in a tessellation that mimics an apartment building’s floor plan.

In-game purchases
You may get the Bondee app without spending a dime.
Its app store page, however, makes clear that you can spend real money to acquire “B-Beans” in bulk through in-app purchases.
Here’s a list of B-Beans and their prices. Note that prices are subject to change without prior notice:
- 100 B-Beans – $1.13
- 500 B-Beans – $5.31
- 1000 B-Beans – $11.40
- 2000 B-Beans – $22.06
- 3000 B-Beans – $34.23
- 5000 B-Beans – $53.26
Several of the app’s outfits are advertised as having a “limited free trial” at the time of release, which may be followed by a requirement that they are purchased using B-Beans.
Does Bondee use NFT?
Incorporating NFT and blockchain technology is a part of Bondee. Bondee’s stated privacy policy does include NFTs, despite the fact that they do not appear to be live at this time.
Users will be able to “establish a blockchain-based wallet on the public blockchain within the site,” as stated in the privacy statement. B-Beans can be used to buy NFTs, which can then be kept in a user’s blockchain wallet, however, the user must first purchase the B-Beans with fiat currency.
Information regarding blockchain wallet balances, B-Beans orders, and NFT orders will be collected by the app. Bondee also states in its privacy policy that it cannot access the mnemonic phrase, private key, or wallet password associated with a certain user’s wallet.
Sure, it does look a lot like Animal Crossing, except that it has its own twists to it. If you’re into networking games that bring your social skills into the digital world, then you might like these games similar to Animal Crossing.
