Amelco, a leading sports betting and platform provider, is on the precipice of a substantial breakthrough into the Canadian market. The company has successfully secured a gaming related supplier license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). This pivotal accomplishment allows for the introduction of Amelco’s end-to-end product in Canada for the first time.

The firm, which has a strong foothold in the UK where it’s headquartered, and operates in no less than 15 states in the US, has also been involved in projects across Europe and Africa. This new venture marks a significant expansion of its global footprint.
The announcement of Amelco’s expansion into Canada was subtly hinted at during the SBC Summit North America earlier this year by Brandon Walker, Head of Amelco USA. Walker revealed that their expansion strategy into Canada would involve a partnership with “one of the market’s biggest players”.
In line with this, Amelco has recently announced that its first major partner in Ontario will be unveiled in the coming weeks. This partnership is expected to be a game-changer for the firm’s operations in the region.

Walker expressed his excitement about this development, stating, “This represents a significant milestone for us, and we are thrilled to be finally entering Ontario, where we are confident that both our sportsbook and iGaming products will prove to be very popular.”
He further emphasized the strategic importance of this move, citing Ontario’s rich sporting history as a potential catalyst for immediate impact. With multiple operators already poised to go live, Amelco is confident of a swift kick-off in the province.
Looking ahead, Walker indicated that this is just the beginning of Amelco’s ambitious plans for the next 12 months, with a broader goal of expanding their presence across Canada as more provinces receive licenses.
The AGCO license extends to Amelco’s iGaming, player account management, and sportsbook suite. The technology specialist added that its iGaming suite will feature games from notable developers like Evolution, Red Tiger, Pragmatic Play, and Pariplay, ensuring a high-quality gaming experience for its Canadian customers who enjoy Live Casinos, Roulette, Live Poker and other games.
