First Impressions
When I first launched Eternal Return, I was immediately struck by its unique blend of MOBA and survival elements. The game, which pits 18 players against each other on an island called Lumia, felt like a fresh take on the battle royale genre.
The character designs were diverse and interesting, and the 2.5D perspective gave the game a unique visual style. It was clear from the get-go that this wasn’t your typical battle royale game.
Gameplay
If this hasn’t been said yet, this is definitely how it would look like if Genshin Impact had a baby with League of Legends.
The gameplay in Eternal Return is where things get a bit tricky. On one hand, the mix of MOBA and survival elements create a unique and engaging experience. The strategic element of crafting weapons and equipment adds depth to the gameplay, and the variety of characters with different skills and abilities keeps things interesting.
However, the game’s complex mechanics and steep learning curve can be overwhelming for new players. It took me a while to get the hang of the game, and even then, I often found myself struggling to keep up with more experienced players.
While I appreciate the depth and complexity of the gameplay, I feel like the game could do a better job of easing new players into the experience.
User Interface and Experience
The user interface in Eternal Return is functional, but it leaves a lot to be desired. The menus are a bit cluttered, and it’s not always clear where you need to go to find certain information or options.
The in-game UI is also a bit overwhelming, with a lot of information being thrown at you at once.
I appreciate the amount of information available, but I feel like the UI could be streamlined and made more user-friendly.
Support
The support for Eternal Return has been pretty solid so far. The developers are active and responsive, and they regularly release updates to improve the game.
The community around the game is also active and passionate, which adds to the overall enjoyment of the game.
However, the game’s community can be a bit intimidating for new players, and the support resources could be more comprehensive.
Honestly Not Too Bad
Overall, I would give Eternal Return a 7 out of 10. The game offers a unique blend of MOBA and survival gameplay that’s both engaging and challenging. However, the game’s complex mechanics, steep learning curve, and less-than-stellar UI hold it back from being a truly great game.
Despite its flaws, I believe Eternal Return is a game worth trying out, especially if you’re a fan of MOBA or survival games.
It’s not perfect, but it’s a unique and interesting take on the battle royale genre that offers a lot of potential. You should definitely play Eternal Return on Steam right now since it’s free to play.
