How To Complete “Pharmacist” Quest In Escape From Tarkov

The Pharmacist quest in Tarkov is made available to players at Level 10. The quest can be accepted from the NPC called the Therapist.

Escape From Tarkov is known for its obscure game design and does not provide clear instructions to the player to complete its quests.

Luckily, we’ve made this guide, so new and returning players can easily complete them. So let’s jump into it. 

Primary Objectives 

The main premise of the Pharmacist Quest is quite simple. The player needs to fetch an item that can be found in one of the rooms, in the Two-story Dorm building, on the Customs map. 

The objectives themselves are as follows: 

1. Gain access to the Two-story Dorm Building’s Room# 114. 
2. Find and obtain the Carbon Case containing the device. 
3. Deliver the Carbon Case to the Therapist. 

Where to Find the Required Key? 

The key required in order to complete this quest is the Dorm Room 114 Key. The key can be found in a blue jacket inside the trunk of a Blue Car parked at the Military Checkpoint.

You can find the Military Checkpoint by traversing to the West of the New Gas Station. Be warned, however, that this particular key spawn is not guaranteed every time. 

Alternatively, the key can be found in Scav bags or can be quite easily bought from the Flea Market.  

Where to Find the Carbon Case?

The Carbon Case can be found inside Dorm room 114. This dorm is found in the Two-Story Dorm building which can be located on the Southern side of the Customs map. 

You can enter the Two-Story dorm from the main door and follow along the left sidewall. The player must continue to walk down the corridor until they reach the very end just past the kitchen table. And you will be right in front of the Dorm room 114. 

Upon unlocking the door, move through the door. You will immediately notice a safe on one end of the room and on top of that safe, the Carbon Case item will spawn. Make sure to pick up the item if you want to complete the quest. 

Note: The Quest items will only appear in their respective locations if the Corporate Secrets Quest is active. 

Extractions

Once the player obtains the Carbon Case they must make sure to Extract it out of the Customs map without dying or else they will lose possession of the Quest item, forcing them to obtain it all over again. Recommended Extracts include: 

1. Old Road Gate Extract
2. Smuggler’s Boat Extract 

The Rewards

The rewards for completing this quest include the following: 

1. The player gains EXP 5,700.
2. You gain 0.04 Rep with the Therapist.
3. The player gains 25,000 Roubles.
   1. If the Intelligence Centre is Level 1 then 26,250 Roubles.
   2. If the Intelligence Center is Level 2 then28,750 Roubles.
4. The player also gains a 1× AFAK tactical individual first aid kit.
5. And gains a 3× Pile of meds.
6. The player can now also barter for the 6B47 “Ratnik-BSh” helmet at Ragman.
