Dust 2 is one of the most well-known maps in CSGO, and if you can leverage the game set properly, you can quickly put a ton of pressure on your opponent. Be it a deathmatch or bomb defusal scenario, and we have the best CSGO guides.
Grenades and Molotovs can be very useful if you know how to put them to best use. This post will list some of the best grenade spots in Dust 2 and how you can effectively use them to flush out and terminate your opponents.
Best Grenade Spots in Dust 2 for 2024
While throwing a grenade you need to position yourself at a particular point, aim the crosshair properly and use the right type of grenade for the best effect.
Here are some of the best grenade spots in Dust 2 perfect for some sneaky assault.
1. Cross Smoke
This is one of the best places for placing your smoke grenades in Dust 2. When you are at this location you are bound to encounter enemy teams slouching and keeping an eye on the entry point, ready to shoot your team down.
A smoke grenade at the near side corner wall will make your team as good as invisible. With such cover, your whole team can push through and start running towards Long A.
After you pass through the long door, aim at the crosswalk, jump, and throw the smoke grenade.
2. A-Long Flash
A-long is all about flash grenades. Don’t get me wrong, a smoke cover can also work. But given the abrupt transition from shelter behind the doors to an open area, flash grenades are just perfect.
Flash at A-long will disrupt enemy vision, and you can quickly march on and take down as many opponents as you can. But you have to aim the flash so that it hits the spot.
Go outside A-long and aim at the wall behind the parked car. The flash will ricochet and blind your opponents. Now, all you need to do is plow through them.
3. Lower Tunnel
As you can see from the CS GO mini-map, you are aligned with the dead center of both teams’ spawning locations. There are chances of enemies attacking you from the lower tunnel.
This is one location where you can use smoke, frags, and flashes. You can get cover, blind your enemies or blow them straight to kingdom come.
Once you are at the lower tunnel, look up, and aim at the building under the streetlamp. Gravity will do the rest. Now you can charge in and take control as you seem fit.
4. B-Door Smoke
Often Counter-Terrorist teams use the middle section to respond to sites that are being hit quickly. So smoke grenades at B-door are a great option to stop them in their tracks.
Position your crosshair at the upper tunnel near B. Position yourself adjacent to the box and toss a smoke through the ceiling gap.
Aim through the openings on the ceiling and the grenade will land in the path of your opponents.
5. Xbox Smoke
The Xbox smoke spot is one of the best grenade spots in Dust 2. The spot comes in handy for the Counter-Terrorist squad when Terrorists try to push through the middle.
For effecting bombing, you need to position yourself perfectly. After passing the T-side spawning area, get to the first right corner outside Long.
Position the crosshair at the edge of the building as shown above and throw the grenade. It will land right in the path of your opponents if they are trying to flank you from the middle.
Now you can smoke them out as you please.
6. Car Molotov/ Frag
This is one of the best grenade spots in Dust 2 from a defensive point of view. This spot is used by terrorists early in the game or when bombs have already been planted.
Throwing a frag will expose anyone while a Molotov will force opponents to relocate. This way you can stop the CT teams in their tracks.
For an effective toss, get to the Long door location and stand on the barrel beside it. Aim over the Salon sign and throw a Molotov or frag grenade.
7. B-Site
This is yet another site where you can bounce your grenades for maximum impact. Using frags you can blind your opponents with ease as they won’t have much time to seek cover.
Also as the B-site wall will be blocking the view, your team need not worry about exposure from the flash.
Just stand at the edge of the door and toss the frag at an angle so that it hits the wall to bounce and fall on the other side.
