Prominent streamer and content creator Asmongold has voiced his frustration with Diablo 4, highlighting a significant issue that led him to abandon the game during the Season of the Malignant.
The Affixes Problem in Diablo 4
Diablo 4, despite its popularity, has been plagued by various quirks and bugs, which many fans criticized recently. One issue that has been a hot topic in the game’s forums is the Affixes on bosses, which have proven to be excessively challenging even for veteran players.
Asmongold recently shared a video of himself repeatedly dying to the same boss due to an Affix that immobilizes the player and launches a lethal attack, leaving little room for survival. He has since stopped playing the game due to this issue.
Another Player Encounters the Same Issue
In a recent video, Asmongold highlighted another player who encountered the same problem.
The player, who was playing as a Druid, known for its survivability and damage reduction, was seen entering the Study Halls dungeon scaled to level 43+. Upon encountering the Shivering Nangari Rattlejaw, the player was frozen in place and subsequently killed by a barrage of attacks.
The Affix causing the issue is known as the Freeze Affix, which immobilizes the player and cannot be dispelled once activated. This issue has been encountered by players facing different enemies, but the Affix causing the problem remains the same.
Asmongold’s Take on the Issue
Asmongold, while watching the player repeatedly die, expressed his frustration with the game, stating, “This game is so f****** bad. Holy s***. Oh my god, it’s so f****** bad.”
While some argue that this is simply a player error, Asmongold disagrees. He even engaged in a debate with a viewer about whether they believed this was a well-balanced mechanic. The discussion ended with the viewer conceding and agreeing with Asmongold.
Asmongold’s criticism of Diablo 4 could potentially harm the game’s reputation, given his prominence in the streaming world. It remains to be seen how the game’s developers will address these issues moving forward.
And hopefully, Season 2 of Diablo 4 won’t be as bad as the current one.
