From the 19th November, Playstation 3 gamers will get an exclusive opportunity to be able to experience the “unprecedented action, destruction, vehicular warfare, squad play and open sandbox environments that only Battlefield can deliver.” EA and DICE have unveiled that a Multiplayer Beta is set to begin for the hotly anticipated Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Stating over on the EA Battlefield Blog, the Beta is set to include “the Arica Harbour map, where up to 24 players can compete in one of the game’s four intense multiplayer modes called Rush. This new map displays a superb balance of vehicle and infantry combat, as the American assault unit attacks the Russian army base with full force, advancing further through a beautiful desert town and towards the industrial area in a desperate attempt to overtake the Arica Harbour. Heavy vehicle warfare on the first bases gradually turns into an intense infantry fight as the level progresses, showcasing this best-in-class online war experience.”
Players will be able to join in on the action both within North America, Europe and Asia;
The Blog states “For North America – Starting 10 November, participating GameStop locations and Gamestop.com will offer a PS3 beta keys to customers who reserve the game, while supplies last. Beta keys will be available for both online and in-store customers.”
Whilst details for both Europe and Asia will be announced next week, so keep an eye on the Blog for more information.
From December, Pc owners will also be invited to join a further open beta with multiplayer demo arriving across Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms next year. For now though, check out the announcement trailer.
