Operation Flashpoint 2 – Whats the fighting all about ?

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising releases this October and there has been lots of information released as to who is fighting who and where but whats the fighting all about. Who would have thought that an Island of the coast of Russia would be a battle ground for all out war between Russia and China and who would have thought that of all the countries to come to the aid of the Russian Army it would be the United States of America. Well it a funny thing but the fictional Island of Skira in Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is just that place were all this is about to happen and as with all wars over territory there is usually an ulterior motive.

The history of the Island dates back to the original occupation of China back in 1409 and war raged on the Island in 1905 between Russia and Japan but what has happened recently to cause such an international incident and why do the Chinese Army want to take back what they found all those hundreds of years ago.
